CALIBRATE
Inventors Foundation’s Benchmarking Initiative
Helping organizations refine programs, protect ideas, and accelerate innovation.
The Inventors Foundation is excited to launch our Inventor Recognition Survey, a benchmarking initiative designed to re-think how inventors are recognized for their patented contributions.
Too often, recognition programs are built around inventors — not with them. We’re changing that by going straight to the source.

Calibrate: Inventors Foundation’s Benchmarking Initiative
The Inventors Foundation has launched Calibrate, a new benchmarking initiative designed to identify and share effective best practices in inventor recognition and various aspects of intellectual property development. By comparing approaches across organizations, Calibrate highlights what truly works—helping inventors, companies, and legal teams refine their programs. The result is a stronger innovation and IP ecosystem, where inventors feel valued, ideas are better protected, and society benefits from accelerated progress.
Now Open: Inventor Recognition Survey
This initiative gathers insights directly from inventors about the forms of recognition that matter most—whether monetary, non-monetary, internal, or external.
By participating, inventors contribute to a global effort to benchmark best practices in inventor recognition. The results will guide companies, legal departments, and innovation leaders in creating programs that truly reflect what motivates and inspires inventors.
Your voice is essential in shaping future recognition initiatives that align with what is genuinely important to inventors worldwide.
